Transparent calcite from the Daye district in Hubei province exhibits a distinct twinning form with high purity and a strong, glassy luster. The crystal is characterized by an almost colorless interior with internal fractures that dramatically refract light. On one of the upper vertices, there is a small, rusty-brown concentration of iron oxides, creating a natural contrast with the bright calcite, while the base rests on fine crystals forming a natural matrix. Main features: high transparency; smooth walls with a bright, glassy shine; rusty-brown coating of iron oxides on the vertex; aesthetic twinning form. Condition: Good.
