A classic and highly aesthetic specimen from the famous Chinese locality Tongbei. Numerous small crystals of garnet - spessartine with an intense orange-red color and strong luster are set on a light matrix. The spessartine is accompanied by well-formed dark crystals of smoky quartz. An additional highlight of the specimen is the presence of a purple fluorite crystal visible at the edge of the piece. Main Features: orange-red spessartine; contrast with smoky quartz; presence of purple fluorite; ex coll. K. Urbanik. Condition: Very good - spessartines and smoky quartz are well preserved.
