The specimen exhibits a vivid purple color and high transparency. The surfaces of the walls are characterized by a strong, glassy luster and vertical carvings, through which light freely penetrates into the interior of the specimen. Under ultraviolet light, the crystal shows a strong reaction, changing color to bright yellow and bright pink-red depending on the wavelength used.
