A classic specimen of hematite from the historic location on the island of Elba. The mineral occurs in the form of highly lustrous crystals with a black, metallic color. In the depressions of the hematite, small, transparent quartz crystals are visible, adding brilliance to the whole. Main Features: outstanding metallic luster; presence of quartz; historic location (Elba). Condition: Very good. Most hematite crystals have intact, sharp edges and preserved original luster.
