Dark red rutile crystal from Madagascar with a very dark, almost black color transitioning to deep red at the edges under strong light. The specimen originates from the Vohitsara area in the Ambatofinandrahana district. It features a strong, resinous-lustrous sheen and a prismatic shape with well-defined edges of the crystal, as well as growth structures visible on the side walls.
