Bright, slightly greenish crystals with a pearly-glassy luster are interspersed with intense, reddish-brown and graphite-gray mineral inclusions. A distinct color zoning is present within the structure, giving the specimen a contrasting appearance. The transparent and translucent crystal faces reveal an internal accumulation of iron oxides.
