## Identification Glass-(Gd) is an artificial material and does not occur in nature. ## Genesis Glass-(Gd) does not form through natural geological processes. It is a material entirely manufactured by humans under laboratory or industrial conditions. The production process involves melting a mixture of oxides (e.g., SiO₂, B₂O₃, P₂O₅) with the addition of a gadolinium compound (e.g., Gd₂O₃) at high temperatures, followed by rapid cooling of the melt to prevent crystallization and obtain an amorphous structure.

Care and storage
## Cleaning Clean with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. If necessary, a cloth lightly dampened with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol can be used, then immediately wiped dry. It should be treated like a precision optical component. ## What to avoid Avoid contact with strong acids and bases, which can etch the glass surface. The material should be protected from sudden temperature changes (thermal shock) and scratching by harder objects. Prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to surface corrosion, depending on the glass composition. ## Storage Store in a dry place, preferably in a padded box or container, to protect against dust and mechanical damage. Avoid storing loosely with other objects that could scratch its surface.
