It was formally described as a new mineral species relatively recently, and its discovery is associated with studies of granitic pegmatites. ## Applications Arrojadite-(PbFe) has no industrial applications. Due to its inconspicuous appearance, visual appeal is secondary to its rarity and scientific value. ## Popular Localities The only significant locality from a collector's perspective is the Palermo No. 1 mine in New Hampshire, USA. Specimens from any other newly discovered locality would have immense scientific value.

Care and storage

## Cleaning Extreme caution is recommended. The safest method is to use compressed air to remove dust. If wet cleaning is necessary, use only distilled water and a very soft brush, then immediately and thoroughly dry the specimen. Due to its lead content, direct skin contact should be avoided, and hands should be washed after handling. ## What to Avoid Absolutely avoid all acids and chemicals, which can react violently with the mineral. It should not be heated or exposed to prolonged moisture. Cleaning in ultrasonic cleaners is prohibited, as it can damage delicate crystals. ## Storage Arrojadite-(PbFe) specimens should be stored in stable, dry conditions, away from direct sunlight. It is best to place them in a sealed display box to limit dust and moisture access and protect against mechanical damage.
